If the transfer of such rights is
made through registered deeds like Sale Deed, Gift Deed, Surrender Deed or Lease Deed,
these deeds are required to be registered in the office of Sub-Registrar/Registrar
and after registration, each deed is allotted a particular Registration
Number (رجسٹڑیشن نمبر), after which, we can say it a registered
sale deed, registered gift deed, registered surrender deed or registered lease
deed respectively. If you want to get attested
copy of these registered deeds, you should approach to the concerned office of
Sub Registrar, who had registered it.
If the transfer of rights
in land/property is required to be made in Revenue Record, same can be made
through Halqa Patwari and Tehsildar concerned, for which they allot
a “Inteqal number”, which in English is called “Mutation Number”. The Mutation Number (Inteqal
Number/انتقال نمبر), is sanctioned
by Tehsildar.
In case, Mouza is computerized, the process of mutation takes place in Arazi
Record Centre or Land Record Centre, in this scenario too, a mutation number is allotted, and same is
sanctioned by Assistant Director Land Record (ADLR).
If you want to check Inteqal
number online, currently there exits no option. However, the Inteqal
number can be checked by visiting the concerned Patwari, Tehsildar,
Record room or Muhafiz Khana, Arazi Record Centre (if Mouza is computerized).
The mutation copy can also be obtained from these forums.
Sub Registrar cannot issue attested copy of a mutation. In the same way, Tehsildar or ADLR cannot issue attested copy of a registered Deed because both the offices maintain their record separately.
